Theme Day Thursday- My Cricut Craft Room

If you have just started following my blog I would like to tell you about Theme Day Thursday and Cartridge exploration. Each day of the week, we make items with either a challenge, theme or a cartridge. Today's theme is Birthdays.

I decided that this theme was perfect for finally scrapbooking my hubby's birthday pics, so I created a one page layout. The inspiration for this layout came from Scrapbooks Etc. August 2011 edition page 84.

I started with my back ground cardstock and layered a second smaller cardstock on top.

Using the Birthday Bash Cartridge I cut the birthday hat out at 4" and using the Monkey Key Phrase I cut the cake out at 4.5"

I cut several circles out of patterned paper using the Creative Memories Circle cutters and gathered all my supplies including the Martha Stewart Loopy Border Punch.

Using my I Rock by Imaginesce I added bling around the large cirle with the cake in it.

Other items used include buttons and floss and alphabet stickers from StorytellersClub and Rusty Pickle. I could have cut letters out but wanted to use up some of my stickers.

Erica's Craft Room Would You Ever Guess Wednesday

I used the font feature on the Cake Basics Cricut cartridge to make this Valentine's Day Gift. Using Cake Basics I cut the cupcake out at 3" in silver, dark pink, and light pink vinyl. I added a cute button on top for the cherry.

And then using the same cart but using the font feature keys I printed out the I love You in 1 3/4" in both silver and pink vinyl.

Just added some ribbon, bling and silk flowers and I have such a cute Valentine's Day gift. Thanks for coming by and don't forget to become a follower for more great projects and ideas.

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

My first project features Indie Art and Black Letter. It's a cool duct tape wallet for my son. Here are the pieces of duct tape fabric I made.

Now I start to piece the duct tape fabric together. On the left side there are 3 pockets for cards and on the right side the clear I.D. pocket and hidden pocket. And of course don't forget the dollar bill pocket.

I add the silver duct tape to create a nice border around the edges and use Cricut Vinyl to cut out the desired images I wish to use.

My son's initials are cut out at 3 inches using Blackletter.

And my son chose the exploding bomb from Indie Art for his wallet front. I cut it out at 3 inches as well and used silver for the shadow feature and black for the regular feature. He loved it...yay.

My next creation would make any sports coach whistle for joy. It's an altered clipboard. I started out with a 9x12 clipboard and the background paper "Cody Benchwarmer"by Love Elsie.

Using Locker Talk, I cut a banner at 3 1/2 inches tall. I added #1 from Locker Talk to it and also Added a star from the Old West cartridge. I cut the star out of yellow cardstock at 3 1/2 inches and the shadow for the star out of white cardtsock at 3 3/4 inches.

For Coach I used the Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge and cut the frame in blue at 3 1/2 inches and then cut the whistle out in brown and yellow and the word coach out in red and pieced them all together.

I sealed the diecuts and board with Modge Podge and added some colorful ribbons to the top along with some buttons for added decor. I hope you enjoy my finished project.

Happy Thursday Friends! In case you didn't know I am currently in the hospital. Silly me crashed my scooter and broke a few things. Don't worry though I am going to be ok. This is my first entry on Erica's craft room as one of her designers so I had to make sure I came through, though I know she would have understood. So here's my finished layout. Here is my project....

I made this Christmas Gift using the Creative Memories Tis the Season Cartridge. The snowman head is 5" tall and on an 8x10 Canvas that you can hang on your wall. His hat band is flocked and his hat has been embossed with one of my cuttlebug embossing folders.

I also made these goodies:

I made these Tic Tac holders (Snowman POOP) using the Snow Friends Cartridge.

Here is my project....

I made this Altered Photo Cube using the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge. My poinsetta is cut at 2" and I used some Martha Stewart Papers. I purposely cut one of the leaves off to allow for my flower to fit on the cube better. I also decided to make a matching card. Thanks for stopping by!

I used The Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cartridge to cut out the mugs. I used my gypsy to weld two images together to form a card and then also hid the border on the bottom. The snowpeople come from Winter Woodland. Thanks for stopping by.

Thought I would share 2 of mine. This first one os for the make it pop challenge. I cut out the circular designs from an additional sheet of paper and added pop dots to them to add dimension.

This next challenge was to use a Storytellers Club kit and include some "fussy cutting" in honor of carving jack-o-lanterns. So I cut the blue wavey circles at the bottom and tucked my photos underneath for a fun water play page. Thanks for looking and don't forget to leave some love, please.

My Awesome Altered ATG GUN

I did it! I finally bought an ATG Gun and I love it. But I wasn't a fan of the pink, afterall it didn't match my cricut or my bags. So after researching what a few others did to their's I took the plunge and dove right on in. I love my new RED HOT ATG Gun. Love the bling I added and the mix of Stampin Up and TLC Rubons. Also used Krylon paint for plastic and sealer. Hope you like it too.

Wow I didn't realize it has been so long since I have posted anything scrappy!

Just wanted to say hi and let you all know that I have been so busy. I have started back at work

and school fulltime and between that and the homework and the kids and the husband..my

time to scrap is few and far between.

I did get a layout done this week. It only took me 2 weeks to finish! LOL! Let me explain why

the title " Goodbye" since I haven't done my journaling yet. This layout is of our last visit

with my sister and her family before they moved to Colorado. It was a very difficult night

for my kids and I. Losing my sister was one of the most difficult things I have had to endure.

So this journaling is actually going to read

"Goodbyes are not forever, they are just..til we see you again!"

Spent a few Sunny Days in Palm Springs with my friend scrapping. I was surprised that between the pool, the wine, the dvds, and the chatting I was able to get 12 layouts done and work on some ATC cards for a swap. Here are few of my two page layouts. Thanks for looking.

My crazy boys 2 years ago. It was crazy hair day and their school colors were purple and blue. Cute right?

I won tickets to the premiere of World of Color at Disney's California Adventure. Thanks MyFM for the tickets. We sure did have an amazing time. And the show was fabulous...it is a must see if you are visiting Southern California.

Christmas 2009. This layout was based on a sketch in Scrapbook Etc. This was the last Christmas spent with my sister and mom. They both now live in Colorado.

We have been going to Disneyland for years now. This was the first time my boys had ever been on the Mark Twain. It is such a pretty boat.

What could be better than spending your 40th birthday at Disneyland with your family. I am truly lucky.

Twilight Altered Gift Box

I created this back in February at the Scrapping Escapes Retreat in San Diego and never got a chance to share it with you. Figure I better post it before someone buys it from my ebay store. I took a cardboard take out box and re"vamped" it using yummy papers, stickers, flowers, bling, ribbons, and of course some glimmer mist.

This is sure to brighten any Twi-hard's day.

JULY FREEDOM KIT

I designed this layout for my kit of the month..I love it!

Hope you do too! I used bazzill and cardstock as well as Storytellersclub printed paper. I used Cricut Cart George for the stars. Independence Day was used for the title, banner, Statue of Liberty, and the large fire cracker. Stand and Salute was also used to make the smaller fire cracker. I added some ribbon stapled in the center of each banner piece and may add some stickles later on. It can be used to celebrate the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or even to honor your favorite military man or woman. I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Sweet Summer Joyous Fun Layout

I was asked to create an attachable charm for a friend. She was always losing her stylus pen and wanted something that would attach to the stylus and to the Gypsy too. So here is what I came up with. The one below is mine and Yes it is one of a kind.

This is a beautiful pink and silver leash. The silver charm is made so you can add a photo of your special someones. Don't like pink? I can make it in many other colors too.

My Breast Cancer Charms are probably my number seller so I felt it only appropriate to make one into a leash. The cancer ribbon has tiny pink bling rhinestones. So pretty!

Croppin in the hospital- why not?

So my oldest baby landed in the hospital with pneumonia last week. It was pretty scarey and thank God he is fine now. While I was at the hospital I decided to do a little scrapping to lift my spirits. And here is just 2 of the layouts I managed to get done. I think I did a total of 10 layouts- plus finished some calendar pages for a swap- in the 48 hours I was there. What did my kid do you may be asking...well he had the video game cart all to himself and was pretty pleased with that!

I LOVE this layout almost as much as I love my kitty! I used my cricut for the title and the fabulous little kitties!! This cart is a keeper for anyone who has feline friends! Yeah! The cart is the Walmart exclusive: MEOW

This layout features the Disney Pixar Parade Characters at Disney's Calfiornia Adventure Amusement Park. The paper and diecuts are all by TLC who sadly is no more.

And here we have some awesome papers and chipboard diecuts from Bo Bunny's Roughin It Collection. I love the trees and the adorable lil trailer. Perfect for hiking, nature and tent layouts too!

A Couple of Great Layouts

My cutie pie Jake with 2 of his best buddies at movie night for St. Joseph's. The quilted background was hand made with different strips of paper and cut and pieced together to make a quilt. The stitching is made with a stamp. I love the electic feel to this along with all the Get Happy embellies.

My Puppy Love... that's what I call him! This layout is one of my favs because Tucker looks like he is smiling at my camera. The papers and the embellies were just too adorable! You can get them at the Scrapping Lounge (my fav scrappy store!!). And the sketch used was courtesy of Becky Fleck Page Maps. I hope you love this layout too!

What a bunch of Wild scrappers!! We celebrated my 40th B-day in Style with Connie's Croppers custom t-shirts. My closest friends and I spent a fab weekend scrapping with Scrapping Escapes in beautiful San Diego. I couldn't have asked for a better b-day celebration!

My lil guy turns eight. This Storytellers club kit worked great for his b-day pics.

This is probably my favorite from the bunch. This is an 09 St kit and I added bling, ric rack, staples, red flower soft to the heart and I even tried to make a lollipop flower. But nothing is as cute as those pics. My boys love Tucker!!
