Fun at the Scrapbook Expo

Had a blast last weekend at the Scrapbook Expo. On Friday I did some shopping but spent most of my day and night scrapbooking. The best deal of the day wasthe $35.00 AMM Tote Bag I bought. It was filled with grungeboard by Tim Holtz and tons (and I mean tons) of bling and stamps by Heidi Swap. I love it all and can not wait to use it! So here are a few layouts I created.

Pool Fun uses the Creative Memories Tropical Page Addition Kit. Cute- huh?

Check out those HUGE chipboard brackets...Fabulous!

This was a Home Tweet Home Kit I purchased at the Expo. Just changed it up to be For the Birds. Also added lots of ink and goggly eyes on those adorable birdies.

This Storytellers Club Kit is so fun. I added that funky chipboard border at the bottom. Used a really pretty sparkly ink to make it stand out.

Yummy Ribbon Winners!!!

Wohoo!! Congrats to Dee and Lisa for coming closest to the actual number of ribbons in my guessing game. The container contained 193 ribbons. Ladies please email me your addresses so I can send your goodies to you. Thanks to everyone for playing!

Another round of cards

These cards were also for the 30 card challenge. On these I had to use a frame, shaped paper, and stamps. I especially love the hello card. For these I used felt, brads, and a star.

I really loved the felt borders, so cute!

My dedicated Croppers

30 cards in 30 days

I decided to join YMBD's September Challenge. The challenge is to make 30 cards in 30 days. Each day has a certain item that your card must have. On the above cards I had to use eylets, chipboard, a star, and a bow.
These cards I had to use a tag, a flourish, a heart, and a tree.

For these cards I had to use bling, brads, a decorative border, and I had to emboss something. The dark green background in dry embossed with a flowery design.

On these cards I had to use stripes, ink, a 3-D sticker, and a digital stamp.

I love the Beach

Even in the Winter. These picture were taken while camping at Dana Point President's Weekend. The tidepools were amazing. We found all kinds of neat sea creatures. And this kit by Storytellers Club is probably one of my all time favorites.

Catching up on my Summer Challenge

Feeling Nostalgic

This layout is about my amazing Grandmother in Greece. I really do miss her. Someday I hope to visit her again but until then I have this to remember her by. Love you YaiYai!

Movie Time

This was created for the Saturday Scraplift Challenge
at YMBD. It showcases my goofy boys in their 3D glasses. I used a really old
Storytellers Club Kit, bazzill, my treading water punch, and alpha stickers. I hand drew and cut the big Red Mat. Updated to add both pages.

Ice Cream Layer Dessert

My crop on Saturday was a blast! And this dessert received RAVE reviews so I thought I would share it with my fellow bloggers. I can't take credit for it though. I found it through YMBD's discussion boards.

A member there posted it and boy am I glad she did!

Ice Cream Layer Dessert

12 ice cream sandwiches
10 oreo cookies
1 large container cool whip defrosted
1 large pkg chocolate pudding
1 cup milk
Sprinkles

Take your oreos and crush them. Set aside. In a large bowl Combine pudding mix with milk. Mix 2 minutes until creamy. Fold in 1/2 container cool whip. Then fold in oreos. Place 6 ice cream sandwiches on a platter. Add chocolate mixture on top. Then top with remainder of ice cream sandwiches. Frost with the rest of the cool whip and add sprinkles.

Freeze for 30min to an hour. Slice and Eat! YUMM-O

Old Unique St kit from ?, bazzill, ribbon, magic mesh, cricut don juan cart, ribbon, micro staples, handmade flower using Astelyn's tutorial (on Storytellersclub), and jumbo brad made with I-top. Did I mention I love my I-top!!

Fondue is FUN

Jeff thought I was nuts but I just had to scrapbook our Fun Fondue experience. If you haven't had Fondue yet, save up some money and go. It's an expensive but fun time! And the cheese is to die for.

I don't normally scrapbook fast food pictures but these pics were taken one of the last days of school. We had lunch at In N Out with some friends. If you do not live in California you have no idea what the big deal is with In N Out. Well they have the best BURGERS ever! YUMMY!

My New Glasses

I made this layout for the YMBD Saturday Scraplift Challenge. I am pretty happy with the results. I did some hand stitching (the pink florishes) and also used my new tool, The I-TOP to create the really cute big brad in the center of the flower. This picture was taken in March 09 right after I received my glasses. I haven't had glasses since my Freshman year of High school! LOL!
