You Tube Tuesdays

Creating a Shape Card with Cricut Birthday Bash
Hello Crafty Friends!!

Every Tuesday I will be featuring a new You Tube
video that pertains to scrapbooking, card making, or crafting in general. Some
of the videos may come from me, Connie Can Crop but most of them will be coming
from various videos that have already been uploaded by someone on You Tube. This is a great way to see some new things, become inspired, and learn different techniques.

Going in line with this week's challenge at FCCB I thought that this tutorial would be perfect for everyone who is afraid to create shaped cards with their Cricuts. It is actually not as hard as you think (depending on the cartridge).

This video is by Robin from Robin's Creative Cottage and she is making the cutest roller skate birthday card using Birthday Bash.

$10 gift certificate

$15 gift certificate

I have been working on some wedding layouts that are for a very special bride (that does not scrapbook). This fit the theme of this blog hop perfectly.

My hidden treasures are: pearls (that have been in my stash for years), my Cricut Carts Sweethearts and Stretch your Imagination (which have not been used in over a year) and my Tattered Angels Glimmer mist. I honestly don't ever use this stuff and it just sits on my shelf collected dust. I used it all over and it gave just the prefect touch to the titles, flowers, and swirls.
I might have to buy more colors because this was really fun to use!

So here are 2 of my layouts. The wedding colors are Champagne and Navy.

Thank you so much for checking out my projects! Scrappy hugs!

Thank you for stopping by, the next stop is Kathy Jo

I created my very first Deco Mesh Wreath. My sister in Colorado had one and I was in awe! So I came home and watched a few You Tube videos and decided why not!
Here are a few pics of  the process:

First thing to do is buy your wire wreath form. Then take pipe cleaners and attach them to the wire wreath like this. I used 18 pipe cleaners.

Next I cut my mesh. I used 3 different colors and cut 18 pieces of each at a width of 10 inches.

Now you start to roll them one at a time. I rolled one, stuck between my legs while I rolled the second, and then after all three colors were rolled I laid them on top of each other and folded them in half. Then attached them to the pipe cleaner. Keep going until they are all attached to the pipe cleaners and then you can fluff them and move them around.

And here is my finished Wreath!! Isn't it the coolest! I just love the spiral curls!!
When it is finished you can add extras. I added some flowers, sparklers, and ribbon to mine.

I will be proudly hanging this all summer long! I hope you enjoyed my "tutorial"!

 Up next is Lucy! Wohoo!
Here's our lineup in case you get lost:

Throwback Thursdays

Was looking through an older album (my Volume 6). And I came across this layout from 2002.
Wow! Seems like so long ago to me. Especially when I look at the boys!

It's a pretty basic layout using stickers and borders as well as CM Alpha stickers. Gotta love the circle shaped pics. I don't do those very often. Maybe I should!!
And computer journaling because I really didn't like my writing.

Thanks for this trip down memory lane! Hope you are all enjoying  this beautiful week in July!!
Happy Crafting and Scrappy Hugs,

The Tawk Show

Yes, you read that title right. LOL!
A couple years ago Fran Drescher had a very short lived daytime talk show called "The Tawk Show". I got some free tickets to the taping and took along two of my friends for a day of fun.
We found the show to be very interesting and honestly were not surprised it was canceled. But we had a great time and love the "Nanny" so it was totally worth the experience!
Anyways here is my layout for your viewing pleasure.

I used a sketch provided by Page Maps and a kit from Storytellersclub along with some bazzill cardstock.
Here's the sketch:

Hope you all enjoyed my creation! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be sure to join us this weekend for the Red White and Blue Blog Hop!!
