Christmas is my favorite time of year! I believe in the beauty of the season and the magic it bring with it! I hope you enjoy this hop I put together for you all!

For my project I am sharing a swap I participated in for the first time ever this Christmas. It was a Christmas Pocket Page Swap and it truly was magical to create and to receive one of these beauties!

If you don't know about pocket letters, they are basically baseball card protector sheets where each pocket is decorated to the theme. Then you add small gifts in the back f the pockets for your person as well as a small letter. They are really special! Then you can use them on layouts, cards, or just keep them in a binder to look at and collect.

Here's a few shots of some of the individual pockets so you can see the details better!!

I used a lot of CTMH Sparkle Tape in various colors! So pretty!! And also used CTMH stamps, ink and thin cuts!

The center features a shaker pocket full of beads and sequins!

This pocket is one of my favs because this little box plays Christmas Carols!

I hope you enjoyed my project and maybe you might want to try and make a pocket letter in the future for a friend! There re so much fun!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!

Snowman Tag- Cardz TV

Hello my crafty friends!

It's Connie here today to share my DT project for Cardz TV!

Today is the start of a new Cardz TV's Anything Goes Challenge and I decided to get a jump start on some Holiday tags. Up first this month is this cutie patootie!!

I used Mary's stamp set called Winter Cheer. The snowman image is one of the stamps on Mary's set. I used my water colors to highlight the snowman. This was a first for me..I love it!

Here's a little trick on layering the different colors on top of each other without having those black lines show through..I use washi tape and place it over the area I do not want ink. Then I ink my stamp, peel the washi off and when I stamp the image that spot is left blank.
Try it! You will be so glad you did!!

You can enter the Cardz TV Challenge HERE!!

I can't thank you enough for checking out my blog today. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!   Scrappy Hugs!

Design Team: White Christmas Layout

Pin It This is Veronica from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing with you this layout I made for my family's first (and only) white Christmas Day:

Too bad the the picture doesn't make justice to the satin finish of the pages and rhinestones bling.

The left side open up:

The Right side has and insert for more pictures:

I used an sketch my dear Tammi Sanders' Photofull old class.

I used printed paper from K.1, which came in a Paperworks kit of the month, the same with other embellishments.

I use the same file from my first card: Little-Penguin-Winter--winter-bench_p_2383 from our sponsor Bugaboo Stamps, which I colored with Chameleon alcohol markers

BTW, I used the Jingle Bells rhinestone sentiment and rhinestones, which I received yesterday as a surprise from Connie's Crafty Cart:

Big thank you Connie, I loved my surprise goodies :-)

YouTube Tuesday-Embossed Tree Christmas Card

Hello everyone.  It's Kim from Katydid Cards here to share a YouTube because it's...YouTube Tuesday!

I was recently asked by a friend who was looking at my collection of stamps why I had such a love affair with trees.  I was stuck for an answer because I had no idea how many tree stamps I had.  As she pointed them out to me, I had to admit...I am a tree hoarder.  Live trees, evergreen trees, dead trees, tree limbs and twigs.

So, in celebration of my newly discovered addiction, here is a video by Gina K showing how to make an embossed tree Christmas card:

I hope you enjoy this video and are inspired to try something like it.  It doesn't have to be trees, but if you need a tree stamp, I can recommend twenty-five or so ;-)  And if you make a winter/snow themed card, why not enter it in our monthly challenge:

As you can see, this month the theme is, "Baby It's Cold Outside.  Click here for all the details.

See you soon with another video.

Guest DT Karen Garber

I am so excited to announce my December Guest Designer here at Connie Can Crop...
Karen Garber
from
KT Fit Kitty

She has created a gorgeous set of cards using the theme of our fun monthly Challenge, Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Here's some details about Karen's project:

For my project, I made a set of four winter cards! Scene cards are my favorite type of card to make. I included a snowman and snowflakes on each one! A sweet friend recently gave me these cute chipboard snowmen, as well as the patterned paper, and I couldn't wait to use them! I knew they would be perfect for my winter scenes! Each card is different but I followed the same basic design. I die-cut a snowy landscape and added Stickles for some sparkle. I used the snowy patterned paper for the sky, added a chipboard snowman, and stamped a sentiment in a coordinating ink. The little scenes are mounted on cardstock and then adhered to a snowflake-embossed card front. I finished off each card with a different embellishment: snowflake sequins, regular sequins, pearl snowflakes, and a snowman charm with ribbon.

BE sure to stop by KAREN'S Blog and leave her some love! She was an awesome Guest DT!!

Interested in being a guest DT on my blog? Send me an email or message with a photo of your favorite project and let me know!

And don't forget about my challenge going on now too!!
