YouTube Tuesday-Polkadoodles Winnie Sugar Sprinkles - Fruit Punch

Hello everyone.  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.  So happy to see you today.

It's time for another YouTube Tuesday and today I'm sharing a video from our sponsor this month, Nikky Hall of Polkadoodles just to give you a snippet of what is available on their website in the event you're one of the lucky winners this month.  This is just the tip of the iceberg as there are many collections, individual images and coloring pages.

As you can see, there's quite a bit included in their collection bundles.  I believe she said over 600 images.  I can envision using this not only in cards and scrapbooking, but other crafts as well.  She has other videos showing you how you can manipulate images, so if you are interested in learning more, do check out her YouTube channel.   And you can peruse her craft shop if you've a mind to.

If you're not a fan of working with digital images, you can still enjoy listening as she has a lovely British accent as Nikky is from York in the United Kingdom.  I honestly felt an urge for a spot of tea when the video was over.

You still have the rest of the day, up until 12:00 midnight PST, to enter your project in our monthly challenge and be entered for a chance to win a voucher to Polkadoodles.

See you next month with more YouTube Tuesdays.  Until then...craft on!

Question of the Week

Remember.. I want you to answer the question in the comment section too!
AND
if you have a question to ask for an upcoming week add that in the comments too, if you ask a question and I use it you will win a prize!!

Here's the question for this week...

Have you ever had your work published? If so, how did you go about it?

Connie- I haven't ever been published. So I have no idea!

Angela- Me either! LOL
Veronica – I haven’t been published.  I would love to, though…

Kim-  I have been, but it was quite by accident. I happened upon an open call for submissions to Scrap N' Art Magazine (on-line publication) and sent a picture of one of my exploding box cards. I heard back from them a week or so later that they accepted my card...it was placed under submissions from readers. It's a great place to start, learning what publications require. Check them out at http://scrapnart.com/page/submissions

Ok, It's your turn to answer!!

Don't forget to check out the New Challenge!!

Design Team ~ Baseball

Hi! This is Angela from 3*Crazy*Monkeys =)

This has been such a hectic month for me! I was hoping to get something posted to go along with Connie's theme, but unfortunatly I didn't. I am showing you my new favorite baseball shirt I made though! Both of my boys made it to the playoffs, and then advanced to TOC (tournament of champions). My middle son sadly was knocked out of tournament Tuesday night, but my youngest is still going strong!!! We have games every. single. night. It gets to be a lot sometimes but I love watching them! I made this shirt the beginning of the month to wear to their games!

I designed this myself in Cricut Design Space.
Used gray, white and red glittle HTV and just love how it came out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Don't forget to enter Connies monthly challenge! Its all about Dads & Grads!

Pocket Full of Love- PCW Day

Hello my crafty friends!!
This is Connie with Connie Can Crop and I am super excited to be posting as a designer for Paper Crafting World. I am so excited to be able to share these adorable cut and digital files with you.

My project today is this sweet card featuring the Pocket full of Love CF from PCW.

I thought adding some lace, washi, and twine would be a good fit for my card.

I also added some pop dots under the pocket and flowers for dimension and I love how it turned out!

The inside is just as cute as the outside! This file would make a great scrapbook layout too!!

Be sure to stop by Paper Crafting World and see all the great files waiting for you!

Be sure to stop by my blog to see more projects using these wonderful files by PCW.
I can't thank you enough for checking out my project. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!   Scrappy Hugs!

Come on over and enter my monthly challenge:

YouTube Tuesday-Printing and Coloring Digital Images

Hello, it's Kim from Katydid Cards here with another YouTube Tuesday!  I have always enjoyed sharing some new technique I discovered with my stamping friends.  How great is it that Connie has given me the opportunity to share them with you on her blog.  It's a win-win.  And, if you like what I've shared, that would be a win-win-win!  Nothing better than that!

We are fortunate to have Polkadoodles as our sponsor this month for both the challenge and blog hop.  Two lucky people will win a $15.00 voucher to spend on the digital images or coloring pages of their choice.

My thought was that some of you may not have worked with digital images previously and still more may not feel comfortable working with them because it can be a little tricky to color, so the video I’m sharing with you today explains how to print and color digital images without smearing.  She talks a bit about what sort of printer you should get if you're in the market or what you can do as an alternative.

If you'd like to try using the water color pencil method she talks about, here are the paper stumps so you can take a closer look and here is the mineral spirits or Gamsol.  I purchased Gamsol many years ago after seeing it demonstrated at a Scrapbook Expo.  I finally decided to pull it out and use it and found it had evaporated down to nothing...yup, I had it THAT long.

I hope this inspires you to try using digital stamps either for the first time or more frequently as it certainly expands your options less expensively than rubber, cling or photopolymer stamps.  Check back for some of our Freebie Friday posts as there are some images there you can use to practice.

Don't forget to enter our monthly challenge.  You have until the31st at 12:00 midnight, PST to enter.

See you next week with another video.  If there's something in particular you'd like to see, please let me know in the comments section and I'll try to find the best of the available videos on that topic.
