Meet my Mini and Enter for a Chance to Win

My Cricut Mini that is! I just love this little machine. It fits in my scrap bag, is super lightweight, and hardly takes up any room! I also love my stand I purchased on ebay from Honey Do. Fits it perfect and keeps me organized while I am cropping.

But enough about my new toy, lets talk vinyl!! This vinyl was cut out using my Mini and the Cricut Everyday Cartridge. I just loved the Travel Bug saying and had to have my little bug head added. My name is cut out with Don Juan, one of most favorite fonts ever! And if you know me, you know I have to have bling!

Since my Cricut inspires me daily, I'd love to inspire others too! So I will be giving away a few sheets of 12x12 vinyl in different colors and a brand new Cricut Spatula. Then you can make amazing things out of vinyl too. All you need to do is share my blog on your blog, become a follower, and like me on facebook and encourage your followers to follow me. Post here that you did that and leave me a link to your blog. I will draw a winner Friday, April 20th. Thanks a bunch and Good Luck!!
(Be sure to leave me your email too so I can contact you when you win!)
(Sorry open to the US scrappers only.)

Happy Easter from my family to yours!

This card was made with goodies I received from a crop I attended. The saying and bunny were part of her make n takes. Added to a matching piece of patterned paper along with some flowers and bling and it's perfect! Hope you think so too.

Gnomeo and Juliet

Well here they are...several days in the making, my very own Gnomeo and Juliet. They are being displayed on 9x7 canvas and can be hung up on a wall or set on a shelf. Just in time for Spring!

Also featured in these project are a couple of flowers I made using Flower Shoppe. I have to say this was my first attempt and it was a bit tricky. But all in all I think they came out okay. What do you think?

Large finished flower..I did leave off the bottom layer. I didn't like the way it looked. I see a tutorial coming soon..so be on the look out!! I also added some glossy accents to the center and petals to look like dew drops.

Here is Juliet! So sweet!! The paper line is Bee Happy Collection- Happy Stripe by Carolees Creations. I also used lots of bazzill and a felt loopy border.

And Gnomeo is my favorite. These cuts can be found on the Cricut Craft Room Exclusives. This one is called Gnomes and Mushrooms and it's adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love inspiring others and creating fun things! Please feel free to follow me and subscribe. Leave me a note too! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! Til next time...Happy Scrapping! Hugs, Connie

Nanny Clipboard

Mondays at My Cricut Craft Room the Design Team shows you projects made with either The Imagine, E2, the Mini or CCR. This week I used my Cricut Mini along with the Learning Curve Font Cartridge and Walk in my Garden shape Cartridge to create these fun gift for a dear friend.
This is a regular 9 x 12 Clip Board that I decided to alter. I used paper and diecuts from Storytellers Club. And I personalized it for her using my Cricut Mini. Instead of adding her name I added "Nanny" in 2" letters cut with Learning Curve. And she loves ladybugs so I cut this pretty ladybug out at 1 1/2" using Walk in my Garden. I hope she really loves it and can display it in her home. Her Nanny days may be over..but that's what all the kids lovingly refer to her as.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today's Theme is Interactive Elements

I created a fun Back to School Page using Locker Talk along with Designer's Calendar and George for the tags. The adorable Alphabet Paper is from Storytellers Club. And the rest of the paper is assorted cardstock and bazzill.

Here my interactive element is 3 hidden tags that I will be journaling on. The tags are 4" long and have a hole for the ribbon. They will include the boys' names, ages, schools, and favorites. (Maybe they can do the journaling!)

On page 2 of my layout I used Locker Talk to cut out the Bus. I love this Bus!! The size is 5" Tall. It requires quite a few layers but it is so worth it.

Back 2 School is cut with Designer's Calendar. I chose to cut my title at 3". You'd be surprised at all the cool titles this cartridge has on it.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I wish you all a scrappy day!!

How I got in to CRICUT

My Cricut Craft Room wants to know...How did you get into CRICUT?
Erica is giving away the Cricut Circle Exclusive Cart Sophie to one lucky winner!! Just share your story!

So how did I get into Cricut...well that's easy...my friends at my local Scrapbook Store. I saw the advertisements when Cricut first came out and thought no, I don't need that. I have lots of alphabet stickers to use up first. Well at a local crop, a new friend of mine (Pam), had brought her brand Cricut with her and said you have to check this out. I made one title with it and was smitten ever since.
Here I am several years later with a baby bug, an Expression, a gypsy, a Cricut cake, and now a new Cricut Mini and I am still in love with my bug! I use it almost daily and help me friends learn how to use theirs too. The possibilities are endless with this machine and I love creating all the fun things I do! So that's it..my short story. Maybe it can help you decide if a Cricut is for you?

Please feel free to share your story on the Wall at My Cricut Craft Room!! LINK IT UP!! http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/2012/03/how-did-you-get-into-cricut.html

Today's Theme is Kids

I used Cricut Font and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge to cut out the title on this very important layout from my son's Arrow of Light Ceremony for Cub Scouts. The title is cut at 2" and the stickers I used to embellish with are made by K and Co. And yes that is me in uniform as well. I was their leader for 4 1/2 years and was so proud of all those boys.
