It's Kim from Katydid Cards and I'm happy to be sharing my Design Team project for Connie Can Crop today.  I'm using a cut file from our sponsor this month, The Cutting Cafe, who is generously giving two lucky winners three cut files of their choice.

With Spring in the air, it's time to think about things like...baseball!  Truth be told, I'm more into having a hot dog at the game than the game itself!  So I decided I would share a baseball card that's a real home run!
 

I used the Baseball and Bat Shaped Card Set to create this realistic base ball made from Real Red and Whisper White card stock from Stampin' Up.  It's on a base of real red as well.  I wanted to make the card beefier, so what pairs better with a base ball than a mitt?  I found clip art that served me well, sized, traced and cut it to create a nice backdrop to show off the base ball, which is the real star.  To finish off the front, I added a Real Red grosgrain bow and a bat shaped button.

I created a subway art type of panel for the inside as well at the sentiment and I think it finishes this card off nicely.

I haven't made the bat from this set, but I'm looking forward to it.  It's a cute as the base ball.

Chubby Bee Says Hello

Hello my crafty friends!!

I am super excited to be posting as a designer for Paper Crafting World. I am so excited to be able to share these adorable cut and digital files with you.

My project is adorable card featuring the Bear as Chubby Bee File and the Postage Stamp Card Base.

 I made the bear, bees and honeycomb a cut and print because I am kind of addicted to this technique! It is so easy and gives off great results! That is one of the things that is so awesome about these files!! You can choose to layer them or print them! I was able to add my "HELLO" right on to the honeycomb with my Explore.

 My sentiment inside comes from Stamps of Life stamps and I used a paper scrap to add some color.

I accented my card with some rumple ribbon and sequins. I also added glitter on my flowers. I just love how they turned out!

Hi folks!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards with you today to share another video from YouTube!  

Since the challenge and blog hop this month are centered on bees, I thought I would share a video that includes bees, but with a great technique as well!  More chat later...but let's get to the video first:

I love using die cuts and, even though I have an e-cutter and use it religiously, I still want dies in my arsenal.  I just love the finished edges on intricate cuts.  And talk about intricate!  When I think how far die cuts have some since the days of the original Spellbinders circles and ovals...which we all thought were cutting edge (pun intended).  That said, I never gave a thought to using die cuts on craft foam, but just look how nicely it cuts and how cute the finished product is!

I got my craft foam from Amazon and am very happy with the quality of the regular sticky backed foam as well as the glitter foam.  And, if you wanted to make this cute little "Just Bee-cause" tag, you can find the Burt's Bees Lip Balm here and the paper Smooches dies here and here, stamps sets here and here.  By the way, the links here Jennifer's affiliate links copied from her post.

My Question is about stamp sets with matching dies. I don't know if you use them or not. However, I never know how to store them. I store my stamp sets by manufacturer, and my dies separately. But can't figure out how to store the matching sets! Thanks. -

Connie- I actually have a few sets of stamps and dies. I store them in my Acrylic Stamp organizer that Close to my Heart makes. It works great!! I can file them one in front of the other and then I always know where they are. I also have a few sets that don't fit in that organizer so the dies go in my  pink Quickutz binder. If you'd like more info on the CTMH container you can find it here.

Angela- I only have a few stamps with matching dies...they have their own little container (all brands are mixed). I only use 2 brands of stamps so it's a little easier for me.

Kim- I've always kept my stamps and dies separate, but that was when stamp/die sets were few and far between. I'm not going to change my entire system now, but were I doing it again, I think I just might follow the idea I saw on Jennifer McGuire Ink for keeping them together in a clear pocket and file them.

Veronica- Just recently, I started to accumulate some stamps with matching dies. I am storing them together in one of those containers that come with magnetic sheet for the dies and leave the stamps on their plastic. Wrapping either bellow or a above the dies sheets. I am still debating for a better way to store them though.
