Harvesting Memories Blog Hop

Welcome to the Harvesting Memories Blog Hop

"When the trees their summer splendor
change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns mellow,
 and the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
and the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is autumn,
loveliest season of the year."
-   Carol L. Riser, Autumn

Now for my Harvesting Memories Project....

Around here Fall means time to visit Oak Glen and the apple Orchards as well as the Pumpkin patch.
We love taking the day trip out to the country and taking in the gorgeous views.
My project is a layout showcasing photos from our trip to the pumpkin patch in 2010.
I just adore some of these pictures and really wanted them to be the focus of the layout.

Of course a cute title and some adorable pumpkin SVGs by Miss Kate helped create the perfect setting for my photos. I added some green stickles to the die cuts to make them stand out.

I also used Kiwi Land Design templates for the fun borders and added some buttons for some added color. I didn't mat my photos, I just cropped them and laid them out six across on the page and let the borders and embellishments go on top of them. This was an easy way to get tons of pics on a two page layout.

I am also giving away some yummy rumple ribbon!! So be sure to leave me a comment below for chance to win my blog candy!!

I can't thank you enough for checking out my project. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!

Challenge Me Monday at FCCB

Hello fellow Cricuteers!!
It's Challenge Me Monday over at

and this week's theme
is
Challenge #154
EASTER
We invite you to create any project featuring an Easter Theme.
Be sure to upload your entry on the FCCB.
Here's what I have created for this challenge:

 2011 Easter Layout
Using Accent Essentials I cut out the fun scalloped mat.

For the date and Title I used Cindy Loo. Easter is cut at 2" and 2011 is cut at 1".
I welded together my own grass border using the grass from the Easter 2010 cart. The grass is cut at 1.38" and just repeated until it is 12" long and then welded together.
The little Easter Eggs also come from the Easter 2010 cartridge.

Now for the fun little birdie wearing bunny ears I used the 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge and cut them at 3". They are so stinking cute! And for my birdhouse I did cut it with my Cricut using an SVG file by Creative Kuts.

Sometimes I am creative and come up with great ideas for layouts but this time I have to tell you I cheated a bit. I found the inspiration for this layout on Pinterest. After pinning it I knew I had to make my own version and I am so glad I did. You can see the original layout made by Klo Oxford on Pinterest Here. Her layout is precious and she has real talent working on that Pazzle.

Other items used to create this layout:
Copics
googly eyes
Bazzill and AC Cardstock
Patterned Paper from my stash

I can't thank you enough for checking out my project. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!
Please be sure to follow me for more creations and inspiration. And don't forget to enter my Monthly Challenges for a chance to win some great prizes from my sponsors.

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop
You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

My first project was something I created for a swap at StorytellersClub. We were asked to make "she dolls" and they needed to look like us and tell you our name and something we like. It's kind of ironic because I was planning on doing a paper doll for my blog title so this swap was perfect for this month. Earlier this week I posted my new blog header and today I share with you my "She Doll".
Of course I used the Everyday Paperdolls Cartridge. And I cut my lil gal out at 4" tall. The little lions on her t-shirt and the paper actually came from StorytellersClub. Hope you think she is cute and what do you think...does she look like me?

My next project was something kindy of quirky that I thought up. While I have been recovering from my accident I have received many wonderful cards. I realized I have no get well cards in my pile of cards to send out and decided what better time to make some. So here it is my "Feeling Blue" Card.
I started out by using my Cricut Mini and a few pens to create my sentiments. If you have never played with the pens please be sure to check out my video, listed under videos of course. It really does give a cool effect. After writing out the bold teal letters, I went back over it with a fine tip black. (check out my video for more info)

I used Accent Essentials to cut out the Starburst at 4" and the scallop border at .55". The font I chose was Type Candy (sorry the font shown above is from This N That). I cut the front sentiment at .5" and the inside at 1" and .5".

Can you tell who is going to be our main star on the front of this card? You guessed it! SULLEY! I used the Best of Pixar to create my Sulley at 4".
And here it is..my finished card. I added glossy modge podge to the front because I love the effect. It doesn't photograph well so this photo was taken without flash. Sorry it's the best I could do.
Thanks so much for stopping on by. Please leave a comment, become a follower, and come back often to see more projects. And don't forget to check out my videos. Thanks again, Connie Can Crop where we are WILD about crafting!
