Hello crafty friends. It's Kim from Katydid Cards here with you today to share another video.
This time I used our Get Well Blog Hop as my inspiration and I found these two videos on how to make get well gift baskets. I don't know about you, but I love making...and receiving...gift baskets. To me, the basket, itself, is a gift; so everything inside is icing on the cake.
This first video is short and sweet, but provides a great jumping off point for making baskets:
This next video is a more elaborate version of a gift basket:
I think the perfect gift basket is somewhere in between the two.
If you want to create a gift basket of your own, here's a list of items you can include to make it entirely unique and perfect for your recipient. This is what I came up with in no particular order. If you have something to add, please share it in the comments.
Hot-water bottle or a heatable pillow
Fun brain game books and a pen or pencil
A good book or audio book if they have access to a CD player
And if they do, some soothing music. Create a modern day mixed-tape! You can make a CD with soothing songs or compose a cheerful playlist on Spotify.
A feel- good movie
Body Lotion, sample size works great
Sample Sized Bottles
If they will be home recuperating Gift card to Netflix, Amazon or iTunes
Tissue Mini Packs
Art and craft supplies
Chicken Soup Packets & Soup Mug
Dry Spray Shampoo
A Picture from Home
A Small Plant, real, silk or dried
A scarf or Shawl
Before I go, I want to remind you about our monthly challenge, "Stamp Your Heart Out". You can make any sort of a project so long as it has a stamped image on it. You can find all the details here.
